4 Ways To Play YouTube Videos When The HP Screen Is Off

YouTube is the largest video service at the moment. Even so, many use YouTube services as a platform to publish their work, including music videos, podcasts, audio books, and others.

Unfortunately, technically, users cannot only listen to YouTube Audio when the screen is off. This is because after the HP screen is off, the YouTube application by default pauses the video you’re watching.

Google itself has yet to provide special settings that allow videos on YouTube to continue to run, even when your cellphone’s screen is off.

For this reason, in this article we will share some tricks on how to play YouTube audio with the screen off on an Android smartphone. Check out more below.

How to Play YouTube When Screen Turns Off

1. Use a web browser

To be able to keep Youtube audio on when the screen is off, you can simply use a web browser application like Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox. This method should be possible on all devices.

  1. Download and install Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox on your device (your Android device may already have Chrome, you can download Firefox here ).
  2. Open the YouTube site in the browser, then tap the settings button (three dots) on the top right of the page and check change the desktop site (request desktop site).
  3. After you have finished doing the steps above, the site will refresh and the display will change like on a computer screen.
  4. Next find and tap the video you want to want, later the video will continue to play even until the device is locked and the screen turns off.

2. NewPipe

NewPipe is an application that allows you to play videos on Youtube, and will continue to be played in the background or when the screen is off.

Unfortunately this application is not available on the Google Play Store. Instead, you can visit the F-Droid website to download the APK file from there.

In order to be able to install the NewPipe application apk file, you must previously allow the installation of applications from unknown sources. To do this, you can activate it manually in your mobile’s security settings.
